Berto Uday Norbert

Community Associate

Berto Uday Norbert is currently a Research Coordinator at the Community Based-Research Centre, which promotes the health of people of diverse sexualities and genders through research and intervention development. Berto transforms his ideas into actions that make a difference in our communities through the core pillars of community-led research, knowledge exchange, network building, and leadership development. He has worked on multiple projects and published research papers raising awareness about 2SLGBTQQIA+  population’s health and well-being.

Berto has a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Manitoba. Berto is grateful that he lives in Treaty 1 territory, traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis, and his work extends beyond the lands of these nations.
