Chinyere Njeze
Postdoctoral Fellow
Chinyere Njeze is a Black African scholar and incoming Postdoctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Manitoba. She earned her PhD in Community Health Sciences from the University of Manitoba in 2024. She is actively engaged in community-based research with African, Black, and Caribbean women living with HIV/AIDS in Manitoba. Her scholarship also contributes to interdisciplinary research initiatives addressing the health and wellness of Indigenous youth, as well as the health and well-being of racialized immigrants and refugees in the province. Chinyere holds a Bachelor of Science in Botany and Biochemistry, as well as a Master of Arts in Health Management, Planning, and Policy, from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. Her research is grounded in a strong commitment to social justice, and she employs an intersectionality framework to inform her applied work and community engagement.
