Colleen Dawson (they/she) identifies as NeuroQueer and is an accomplished and compassionate educational leader with a decade of experience in the field. Throughout their career, Colleen has held a variety of educational roles, including Vice-Principal, Inclusion Education Resource Teacher, Mentor, Classroom Teacher, and Divisional Support Teacher. Currently, they serve as a Divisional Support Teacher at the Winnipeg School Division, where they engage educators in expanding their knowledge and skills through learning inquiry cycles and analysis of educational research. Colleen is also a graduate student at the University of Manitoba, pursuing a Master's in Educational Administration.

In addition to their work within the educational system, Colleen is actively involved in advocacy and community engagement. They are a member of People for Public Education, a coalition dedicated to advancing universally accessible, publicly funded, equitable, participatory, and public-interest-driven education in Manitoba. Colleen also serves as a board member of the Canadian Mental Health Association, contributing to mental health initiatives. Colleen also serves as an advocate and consultant for the Neurodiversity Movement, providing support to organizations and institutions seeking to promote neurodiversity.

Colleen's primary commitment lies in promoting equity, critical pedagogy, and re-indigenization, and they work tirelessly to create inclusive environments that empower all individuals to think critically about the world and their place within it. They view education as a powerful tool for personal and societal transformation and are dedicated to cultivating conditions for learning that inspire people to reclaim their agency as an act of liberation
